Testing Wablet

Wablet
I received an e-mail from Wablet awhile ago announcing their Alpha release. Together with it is an invitational key which allows me to activate my account and be the first few people to try the application.

What is Wablet?

Wablet is a web-based communications platform that integrates caller ID to allow anyone to connect with anyone from a web page. Wablet makes websites LIVE & INTERACTIVE.

Wablet is like a Tagboard / Chatboard mostly seen at blogsites. They enable the readers and the author to talk or chat while they are both online.

How does it work?

After you activate your account, you’ll be redirected to the homepage of course. Create a persona or identity depending on the purpose of that identity, for social or business networks. I suggest that you add your Yahoo!ID and other IM accounts at MY IM Accounts located at the lower left of the site. Then create a chat object or the access point and paste it on your website so the readers/users may know if you’re online or not.

There is a start chatting button located at the homepage of wablet, click that button. Once you clicked that button, A window will pop-up(turn-off your popup blockers) and it will start connecting to your IM Networks. Your readers may start chatting with you once you are connected.

Features?

  1. Create Wablet Caller IDs
    • Wablet allows you to create separate personas for your social, business, blogger, or other online identities.
    • Each identiy can present different information about you to other users that you would like to contact
  2. Connect to other IMs
    • Chat with your contacts from Yahoo, MSN, AIM, and ICQ in your Wablet chat console;
  3. Create chat widgets for your site
    • This allows your website visitors to chat with you directly from your website.
    • You can also view who is on your websites and start a chat with them from the Access point panel in the chat console.
  4. Launch the Wablet chat console
    • Connect to ALL your IM contacts as well as site visitors from one centralized interface..
  5. View all your previous chat conversations
    • If you archive your chats, you should check out Wablets message center where your chats sorted by contact, date, or user-defined tags
    • If you want to keep your chats private you can toggle the off the record icon on any active chat..

Sample?
I added wablet in my other blog, you can go there and try it.

Wablet is actually on its alpha stage, so users are limited but I still have 5 invites left. Just leave a comment and I’ll send you one.
