There’s no denying the importance of technology in the field of education. With the proper programs in place and the right purpose behind them (not technology for technology’s sake), it can make everyone’s lives easier and simpler, and significantly aid the learning process. With the onset of a new academic year, we asked ourselves, “Have our schools gone hi-tech?â€
Guess what? What? Mapua is one of them, yeah right! haha.
Living up to the school’s name, Mapua’s existing technological advancements are by far a cut above the rest. Mapua alumnus and Deputy Director of the Development Office for Information Technology (DO-IT) Reinier Viral revealed that most of its systems were developed and programmed in-house, testament to Mapua’s stature as one of the vanguards in the field of engineering. Its technological innovations are truly remarkable, making that of other colleges or universities, well, to put it bluntly, look like babies.
Oh yeah, It says that they visited four of the top academic schools in the country which includes University of the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila University, de La Salle University, and Mapua Institute of Technology.
